Waukesha, Wis. (January 19, 2011) - The Fisher-Barton Group, headquartered in Waukesha, Wis., is pleased to announce the addition of a sixth company to their family of manufacturing companies. Lineage Alloys, a leading thermal spray powder manufacturer located near Houston, Texas, was purchased by The Fisher-Barton Group on Dec. 14, 2010. The transaction marries two successful coating manufacturers, adding more depth to Fisher-Barton’s engineered wear resistance solutions currently produced at their Sun Prairie, Wisconsin facility, Thermal Spray Technologies, and Fisher-Barton Specialty Products in Watertown, Wis.



Thermal Spray Technologies (TST) located in Sun Prairie recently celebrated four years without one lost time accident. Safety is paramount at Thermal Spray Technologies, where employees go through continual safety training and are encouraged to bring new ideas to improving the safety and ergonomics of their work environment.



Courtney Morehouse, Quality Assurance Coordinator at Thermal Spray Technologies Inc., recently completed the ISO 9001:2008 Certified Lead Auditor Training course provided by AQS Management Systems, Inc.

Bill Lenling, President of Thermal Spray Technologies (TST) receives Distinguished Achievement Award from the University of Wisconsin, College of Engineering recognizing his accomplishments in the area of thermal spray and in managing TST from a startup company to an industry leader with more than 75 employees and annual sales of more than $16 million.



Grants of nearly $400,000 to help train about 700 skilled manufacturing workers at 21 companies were awarded by the state to Madison Area Technical College.
